Lukashenko: Belarus is ready to help Tajikistan at any time

DUSHANBE, 14 September (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to help Tajikistan at any time. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement as he met with Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon on 14 September, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko mentioned the industriousness of the Tajik nation. He pointed out that despite difficult farming conditions the country manages to harvest grain twice a year and is virtually close to satisfying the domestic demand. It is a great accomplishment, noted the Belarusian leader. He said he believes that the industrious nation will surely have a great future.

Lukashenko: Belarus is ready to help Tajikistan at any time“I understand that it is difficult for you. Nature throws in all kinds of surprises. You know that we are ready to help you at any time,” stressed the Belarus President.

He remarked that there are no closed topics in Belarusian-Tajik relations. Belarus is open to advancing cooperation across the board, including the production sector and agriculture as well as the defense industry. “We are ready to cooperate in all areas. We are always ready to do everything we can for our Tajik brothers,” said the Belarusian head of state.

Lukashenko: Belarus is ready to help Tajikistan at any time“I know that you put tremendous efforts into ensuring security in the region. It is difficult to accomplish yet you courageously fight for peace and tranquility in your country,” noted Alexander Lukashenko. He went on saying that these problems would be discussed during the forthcoming session of the CSTO Collective Security Council. “You are our brothers and naturally we should do everything to make your people feel secure,” believes the Belarusian head of state.

Emomali Rahmon pointed out that Tajikistan feels sincere sympathy towards the Belarusian nation. “We are glad that Belarusian-Tajik interaction continues developing steadily and dynamically,” said the Tajikistan President. In his opinion, meetings and top-level negotiations demonstrate overall commitment to the consistent development of Belarusian-Tajik relations across the board. “I am convinced that through joint efforts we will be able to raise the level of versatile mutually beneficial cooperation higher,” stressed Emomali Rahmon.
