Lukashenko: Belarus is ready for full-fledged membership in BRICS

KAZAN, 24 October (BelTA) – Belarus is ready for full-fledged membership in BRICS, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the BRICS Plus/Outreach event as part of the group's summit in Kazan, Russia on 24 October, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that Belarus has a high level of cooperation and trusting relations with the vast majority of the countries participating in the summit.

"We have a long history of successful cooperation with many of them. Now we can enrich our bilateral experience with new achievements in the integration format. Minsk confirms it is fully ready for full membership in the organization," the head of state said.
