VITEBSK, 15 December (BelTA) – It is necessary to work harder and look for various ways to overcome difficulties in the face of the policy of sanctions of the collective West. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the relevant statement as he met with Vitebsk Oblast senior officials on 15 December, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “Those, who work with it, have calmly found ways and keep working. Yes, there will be nuances, there will be problems, too. But we have to act. We have to tough it out.”
In his words, it is necessary to look for ways to survive and move forward in this situation. “It is my strict requirement for you. This is why you have to identify sensitive issues in Vitebsk Oblast and take care of them. If you don’t address them, don’t come running to me or the central government, we will no longer support you. Because no other oblast has received as many resources upon my decision as Vitebsk Oblast has starting with the countryside and ending with oil refineries and the rest. And I expect you to perform regardless of how hard it may be,” the Belarusian leader stated.
“Excuses will not be accepted. We have to live and be careful despite the sanctions,” the head of state added.
