MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to China President Xi Jinping as the country celebrates Chinese New Year, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state remarked that last year when the two countries celebrated an anniversary in the Belarusian-Chinese relations they managed to expand cooperation in all areas, establish closer ties between the regions and agencies of Belarus and China.

Alexander Lukashenko is convinced that 2018 will become an important milestone in the development of bilateral cooperation. Events held as part of the Year of Belarusian Tourism in China will help deepen mutual understanding and cultural bonding between the two nations.

“We are always ready to enhance all-round strategic partnership with China which has a trustworthy and mutually beneficial nature. I sincerely hope that spring will always reign in the Belarusian-Chinese relations, and our friendship will become stronger every day,” the president stressed.
