MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) - Belarus has created the conditions for succesfull investment and we need to take advantage of them, Eimantas Kiudulas, general director of Klaipeda Free Economic Zone, told the media ahead of the business meeting on Belarusian-Lithuanian cooperation, BelTA has learned.

“Resident companies of our free economic zone invest in Belarus and will continue to invest. This is the best proof that you have created the conditions for investment and we must take advantage of them,” Vladimir Ulakhovich noted.

He stressed that Lithuanian companies interested in promoting products to the market of the Eurasian Economic Union work in the free economic zones in Belarus and enterprises with the Belarusian capital focused on sales in the European Union operate in the free zones in Lithuania. “We should facilitate their work, inform them about the advantages so that they can choose the best terms of business,” Eimantas Kiudulas noted.

Attending the business meeting are representatives of about 70 Belarusian and order 30 Lithuanian companies. The agenda includes the issues related to the current economic situation in Lithuania and other EU countries, the EU trademark regulations, the EU certification system, the tools of financial support of export of Belarusian companies.
