MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – Lithuania hopes that the Belarus-EU visa rules will be eased in the near future, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to Belarus Andrius Pulokas told reporters on 7 December.
Lithuania is interested in speedier negotiations on visa rules between Belarus and the European Union and a swift conclusion of a visa relaxation agreement, Andrius Pulokas said. Technical issues are now all that remains to be settled. “It is necessary to resolve them as soon as possible and move forward,” the diplomat noted.
Lithuania also believes that the price of the Schengen visa for Belarusians could be lower. “This would create a wonderful opportunity for strengthening the ties between Belarus and the European Union,” Andrius Pulokas said.
