MINSK, 15 July (BelTA) - Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergei Lebedev sent greetings to the organizers and participants of the 30th edition of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The festival is one of the brightest projects in the CIS calendar of cultural events. It is as old as the Commonwealth of Independent States, which will turn 30 in 2021 too, the message reads.
Despite the difficult epidemiological situation, this cultural forum has again gathered young talents, lovers of folk art and professional art in the hospitable Vitebsk. Slavianski Bazaar is famous for its good traditions and for helping many performers and young talents to launch their professional careers.
The message noted that every year the festival grows creatively, whereas its diverse program demonstrates the diversity of cultures, historical commonness, and the desire for friendship and good neighborliness inherent in the peoples of the CIS countries.
Sergei Lebedev also expressed confidence that the guests of the festival will like a rich palette of events, that the anniversary edition of Slavianski Bazaar will enter another bright page in the chronicle of cultural events and will become another step to promote humanitarian cooperation between the CIS countries. He wished the organizers of the festival fruitful work, and its participants and guests unforgettable impressions, joyful meetings and discoveries.
