MOSCOW, 27 October (BelTA) – Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov once again thanked Belarus for assistance with resolving the domestic conflict in Ukraine. Sergei Lavrov drew attention to Belarus’ peacemaking efforts after the session of the boards of the Belarusian and Russian ministries of foreign affairs in Moscow on 27 October, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Lavrov said that international problems, including the situation in Ukraine, were discussed during the bilateral talks that had taken place before the session. “We confirm we are grateful to Minsk where the conflicting parties managed to reach an agreement and where the contact group on Ukraine and its subgroups continue to meet,” said the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs. “We are grateful for the excellent organization of the negotiation process and Belarus’ efforts to resolve the conflict.”
