MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – I hope that you will visit Austria within the next six months, Austria’s Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said as met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 29 March, BelTA has learned.
“I am happy that within the next six months you, most probably, will be able to visit Austria. Thus, step by step, we will be able to deepen our relations,” Sebastian Kurz said.
“I am still relatively young, but over the years during which I had the opportunity to engage in political activity we have already had the chance to meet,” the federal chancellor said. Sebastian Kurz visited Belarus as the Austrian foreign minister in 2015 and 2017. Alexander Lukashenko visited Austria twice: in 1996 (to participate in the international conference “One Decade after Chernobyl”) and in 2002 (at the invitation of the president of the Austrian Olympic Committee).
