MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – The Forum of Regions will become a new platform of cooperation between Belarus and Poland, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Belarus Konrad Pawlik said in an interview with the Belarus 1 TV channel on 11 December.
According to the diplomat, during the visit of the Polish parliamentary delegation to Belarus it was stated that the upper houses of the parliaments of the two countries will supervise the forum of regions together. “This is a new cooperation platform for us. It will be used to organize meetings for representatives of regional and oblast centers, local and self-government,” noted Konrad Pawlik.
The Ambassador stressed that Belarus and Poland have recently intensified their relations in all the areas. The visit of the Polish parliamentary delegation to Belarus provided an impetus to the development of cooperation in areas such as education, science, and interregional cooperation. According to Konrad Pawlik, the countries are also discussing the possibility of resuming the broadcast of some of Polish channels in the Belarusian media field.
