ST. PETERSBURG, 29 January (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia will continue to cooperate across all areas, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said as he met with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev, BelTA has learned.
"I hope that today we will discuss the results of 2015, plans for the current year and medium-term future. In the run-up to the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State we will report to the heads of state that we have a plan, estimates and prospects to overcome economic instability,” said Andrei Kobyakov.
According to him, the new year has begun. A number of decisions have been adopted in the Union State. "I propose to summarize and map out a plan of cooperation," said Andrei Kobyakov.
He noted that the 8th meeting of the Business Cooperation Council between Belarus and St. Petersburg took place today, 29 January. "I would like to say that we have meaningful contacts, communication, trade and economic cooperation, and roadmaps with many regions of Russia. But St. Petersburg is an example of the most excellent, very informative and in-depth cooperation. It embraces ties in industry, science, supply of agricultural products, and in general the whole range of relations that can exist between very close partners,” the Belarusian head of government said.
