Karic: Belarus President’s policy aimed at promoting friendship, cooperation with all countries
MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – The policy of the Belarus President is aimed at promoting friendship and cooperation with all countries, BelTA learned from Dragomir Karic, Belarus’ Honorary Consul in Belgrade, the Chairman of the Serbia-Belarus Friendship Group in the Serbian Parliament. The Serbian MP attended the Belarus President inauguration ceremony on 6 November.
The Serbian guest stressed that the friendship between Belarus and Serbia grows stronger every year. In his view, there is a need to forge even closer relations and to bolster trade and economic ties. He said that this year the figure should be around $300 million. The goal is to ramp it up to half a billion dollars.
Dragomir Karic also said that there is every reason for the relations between Belarus and the European Union to improve. According to him, the president election in Belarus was in compliance with very high European standards. “I visited many polling stations during the election campaign. I was happy to see that the election was a true celebration for the Belarusian people,” said Dragomir Karic.
In his view, Belarus is a good and reliable partner for European countries.
