MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – It is important to support and advance the Belarusian-Latvian business dialogue. Belarusian Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky made the statement as he met with Latvian Economy Minister Dana Reizniece-Ozola, the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry told BelTA.
Vladimir Zinovsky congratulated the Latvian side on the launch of the large-scale event — Days of Latvia in Belarus — and mentioned the importance of supporting and advancing the business dialogue between the countries.
Vladimir Zinovsky said that common history and readiness to establish friendly and neighborly relations allow building future mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Latvia in a large number of areas.
The two economy ministers discussed the state and prospects of trade and economic interaction, cooperation in the area of transport, power engineering, and information technologies.
At the end of the meeting Vladimir Zinovsky said he was looking forward to the meeting during the session of the Belarusian-Latvian intergovernmental commission on economic, scientific and technical cooperation that will take place in Daugavpils in December 2015.
