BEIJING, 12 February (BelTA) – China thinks highly of the agreements reached in Minsk on 12 February and hopes that all the sides will meticulously fulfill them. The statement by Hua Chunying, spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, was published by the Ministry’s website, BelTA has learned.
According to the source, China welcomes and highly appreciates the agreement reached by the leaders of Russia, Germany, France, and Ukraine in Minsk and also believes that the agreement will contribute to the reduction of tensions in Ukraine’s east in addition to the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.
“We hope that all the sides will treasure the hard-earned results and will meticulously fulfill the agreements in order to bring peace and tranquility to Ukraine,” Hua Chunying was quoted as saying.
The spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that China has always believed that a political solution to the crisis is the only way out. The official assured that China will continue playing a positive and constructive role in the political resolution of the Ukrainian crisis through dialogue and negotiations.
