MINSK, 9 March (BelTA) – We expect that the working group on business promotion will work hard to reduce the burden on business dramatically, Piotr Arushanyants, Director of the Entrepreneurship Department at Belarus’ Economy Ministry, told journalists on 9 March, BelTA has learned.
“We expect a radical reduction of the burden on business. Nowadays the burden can be divided into three groups: licensing, administrative procedures, and technical regulations,” Piotr Arushanyants noted.
He said that Belarus’ Economy Ministry suggests keeping licensing only for those activities that have an impact on the health and life of people and the security of the state. “As for administrative procedures, we should streamline, as much as possible, the so-called permit-based procedures that have to do with responsibilities of businessmen. The thing is that today some of these procedures confirm the rights of businesses rather than their responsibilities,” Piotr Arushanyants explained.
He stressed that state bodies are interested in close cooperation with businesses. “We can make it only by cooperating with businesses. It will help us both avoid mistakes and solve the most pressing issues of the day,” Piotr Arushanyants stressed.
