MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – Alexander Lukashenko has brought Belarus onto the international arena, Director of the Institute for Comparative Social Studies Eurasian Barometer, Doctor of Political Sciences Christian Haerpfer said in an interview to the Belarus One TV channel, BelTA informs.
“The Belarusian leader has helped his nation to find its identity, develop national culture and the image of the country. Moreover, he has brought the country onto the international arena,” said Christian Haerpfer.
According to the Doctor of Political Sciences, Alexander Lukashenko’s main goal was not only to create a state but place the country on the geopolitical world map. “Take a look at Ukraine. There are a lot of presidents there, but no one can be named the nation’s founding father,” he noted.
In turn, Honorary Council of Belarus to Slovakia Marian Murin is confident that the presidential election in Belarus showed that the Belarusian people respect their head of state and his policy. According to the diplomat, Belarus has been steadily developing. No shady reforms are advanced in the country.
“Your country support social efforts, healthcare and education. It is a good policy of your President,” said Marian Murin.
