MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) – I hope the new Team Belarus will do well at the 52nd edition of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships which are underway in Seefeld in Tirol, Austria, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of the Belarusian Ski Federation, Prosecutor General of Belarus Alexander Konyuk told the media on 21 February, BelTA has learned.
“The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld kicked off on 20 February. Our team is taking part in them. This is a new team with a new head coach. We have decided to opt for Belarusian athletes as the experience with foreign skiers has not been so positive,” Alexander Konyuk said.
The 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships are underway in Austria from 20 February to 3 March. The competitions will include 12 medal events.
