MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – The state regulation of development of the digital economy was discussed during the session of the Digital Economy Promotion Council chaired by Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov on 24 May, BelTA has learned.
According to Andrei Kobyakov, the introduction of digital technologies is supposed to make the production sector more effective and give a competitive edge to Belarusian products. A lot will depend on the speed of transition to new manufacturing technologies and business processes.
Andrei Kobyakov said: “The digital transformation of the state administration system is supposed to create a flexible and effective mechanism for implementing the main functions of the modern state: provide healthcare, keep the education and science system at the international level, ensure security and legal defense of the population, manage state property effectively, and bolster the competitive ability of the national economy. To reach this goal, it is necessary to modernize the decision-making technology and control methods.”
The prime minister pointed out that managing digital transformation processes is a complicated and multifaceted task. The relevant management structure able to coordinate the digital transformation of all parties at the interagency level is needed if the task is to be accomplished.
