MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – Georgia is interested in Belarus’ experience in the area of information technologies. Georgia President Giorgi Margvelashvili made the statement as he visited the Hi-Tech Park in Minsk on 2 March, BelTA has learned.
The Georgian head of state said: “We are going to work in the areas that will allow multiplying capabilities of our nations and states. Those are high technologies, production sector, tourism, and agriculture. I rejoice at the opportunities we are opening up for Belarus and the opportunities Belarus is opening up for Georgia. The park we are in is a symbol of capabilities of Belarusian-Georgian relations. Belarus has achieved great accomplishments in this sphere indeed.” Giorgi Margvelashvili pointed out that the Hi-Tech Park had been established with vigorous assistance of young professionals.
The Georgian leader was informed about the history of the Hi-Tech Park’s creation and development, the park’s production and export figures, and its cooperation with the technopark of Georgia. Two projects were presented: an online service for precision agriculture and a smart video surveillance system based on artificial intelligence.
The Georgia President was made familiar with the business incubator of the Hi-Tech Park and took a close interest in the park’s joint project with the Republic of Korea — an information access center in a Korean style that hosts various events.
