MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – Leonid Kuchma is about to quit his job as Ukraine’s plenipotentiary representative in the trilateral contact group on resolving the situation in the Donbass area. The former Ukrainian president thanks Belarus for facilitating the talks, BelTA learned from a Facebook post made by Darya Olifer, press secretary of the second Ukrainian president and a signatory of the Minsk agreements.
While in Minsk on 2 October Leonid Kuchma thanked colleagues in the trilateral contact group for working together, thus summing up results of his work as Kiev’s representative in the trilateral contact group. He was particularly grateful to Belarus for assistance with organizing the negotiation process, noted Darya Olifer.
