MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) – Belarus seeks to promote mutually beneficial cooperation with European structures, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said as he met with a delegation of the European Parliament led by Bogdan Andrzej Zdrojewski, chair of the European Parliament’s delegation for relations with Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Vladimir Makei emphasized Belarus’ interest in advancing mutually beneficial cooperation with European structures, including the European Parliament. Such cooperation should be based on equality, mutual respect and consideration for each other’s interests. It was highlighted that Belarus contributes to addressing common European issues, like illegal migration and other transnational challenges. The parties shared views on the topical matters of the Belarusian-European relations and the international agenda,” the press service noted.
Apart from that, the parties acknowledged the importance of maintaining a political dialogue and implementing joint Belarus-EU projects in education, transportation and other areas of common interest.
