ULAANBAATAR, 15 March (BelTA) – We are opening a new chapter in relations between Belarus and Mongolia, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik told reporters following the talks with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg in Ulaanbaatar, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Aleinik noted that it was not the first talks with his Mongolian counterpart, but it was the first time that they took place in Mongolia. "I am sincerely grateful to you for the invitation and would like to say that the talks open a new chapter in our relations, which, I am sure, will be even more eventful, fruitful and intensive.In a completely open manner, in a friendly, I would say, even confidential manner, we discussed all topics of mutual interest. There are quite a lot of such topics," the minister stressed.
He noted that Belarus and Mongolia have no fundamental problems and disagreements. The countries are united by the long-term bonds of friendship and mutual respect.
"The fact that we did not squander the heritage but were able to preserve and multiply it, is worth a lot in today's turbulent world. There is no doubt that through joint efforts we will continue to develop our multi-level relations. Relations that unequivocally correspond to the aspirations and interests of our countries and our peoples," the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs said.
