MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) - European youth is interested in cooperation with the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union, coordinator of international youth cooperation at the Central Committee of the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union Pavel Groshevik told BelTA.
These days the BRSM delegation is taking part the European Youth Forum Enter! Youth Week organized by the Youth Department of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg (France).
“We told the participants of the forum about the state youth policy in our country and the activities of the BRSM Youth Union. As we met with the leaders of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe, we highlighted the openness of our youth union and willingness to implement joint projects and initiatives. For their part, European partners said they are eager to develop contacts and are ready to restart bilateral relations within the framework of international youth cooperation,” Pavel Groshevik noted.
According to him, head of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe Antje Rothemund showed a special interest in the activities and projects of the BRSM Youth Union. The Belarusian youth delegation gave her souvenirs and a book about the union, he said.
Youth Forum Enter! Youth Week has been organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of one of the key European institutions - the Council of Europe. Held from 7 to 12 July, it brought together over 200 youth organizations from different parts of Europe.
