MINSK, 8 October (BelTA) – Electronics, pharmacology and IT are promising areas of cooperation for Belarus and Russia, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich told BelTA.
Mikhail Myasnikovich believes that Belarus and Russia need to continue developing industrial cooperation, interact in the investment sector, switch to large-scale Union State projects, including regional ones. “Among the promising areas here are chemistry, electronics, pharmacology, biotechnology, IT industry and others. Companies from third countries can also be involved in the Union State projects,” he noted.
On 10-12 October Belarus’ Mogilev will host the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. This year the program of the forum will include the Business Cooperation Council that will gather heads of economic entities of the two states. “Such meetings strengthen business contacts, align our positions on many issues and add impetus to joint projects. We have big potential here,” the chairman of the Council of the Republic said.
