MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian healthcare system works well and the situation is under control, Belarus president's spokesperson Natalya Eismont said in an interview to the STV Channel as she commented on the president’s meeting with specialists of the country's Healthcare Ministry system, BelTA has learned.
“The first and probably the most important thing is that the current situation shows us that the healthcare system in Belarus has not been ruined. It has grown out of the Soviet system, and today we can say that this is the greatest merit of our school that in the difficult conditions such as today the system functions and the situation is under control,” said Natalya Eismont.
After a detailed discussion of the epidemiological situation in Belarus and listening carefully to everyone who was present at the meeting, the head of state asked the main question: “What else should be done?” “The question concerned both the current situation and steps in general to strengthen the healthcare system of our country. After all, the key task is to ensure that the system always functions stably and shows maximum efficiency,” the spokesperson added.
