Cui Qiming: Scientific and technical cooperation with Belarus of special importance to China
MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Scientific and technical cooperation with Belarus is of special importance to China, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus Cui Qiming said when speaking at the conference “25 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China: results and prospects of scientific and technological cooperation”, BelTA has learned.
“For 25 years, the cooperation between our countries has been growing in all areas, including science and technology. Scientific and technical cooperation is of particular importance for the development of our relations,” Ambassador Cui Qiming.
He noted that the level of bilateral strategic partnership between Belarus and China has been raised significantly. As an example, Cui Qiming cited the project to build the Silk Road Economic Belt and the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone.
The diplomat expressed his gratitude to scientists and education specialists for the assistance in the development of the Chinese-Belarusian cooperation. “Scientific and technical cooperation between Belarus and China has been continuously evolving. Scientists of the two countries make more and more achievements in science and technology. I hope that they will continue to share their best practices,” the Chinese Ambassador added.
Belarus and China established diplomatic relations on 20 January 1992.
