MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Belarus is an island of stability in Eastern Europe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming told a press conference on 22 September, BelTA has learned.

The head of the Chinese diplomatic mission has been working in Belarus for two years. “I see that under the leadership of President Alexander Lukashenko Belarus is vigorously developing. The country maintains public order, political stability and promotes economic development. Belarus is a beautiful country, Belarusian people are smart and educated,” the Ambassador said.

When asked about the forthcoming presidential election, Cui Qiming noted: “The election is an important political event. I think that the Belarusians will make the right choice.”
