MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – The peak of the COVID-19 pandemic is expected in Belarus in late April-early May, Healthcare Minister Vladimir Karanik told MPs on 9 April, BelTA has learned.
“We have projections and action plans for various scenarios. We think we will see the peak in late April-early May,” Vladimir Karanik said.
The minister emphasized that this is a novel virus and it is hard to say how many people are susceptible to it. The number one task for today is to prevent the excessive burden on the healthcare system, so that all people who need medical attention will be able to get it.
