MOSCOW, 18 June (BelTA) - The combat training of the Belarusian contingent of CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force (CRRF) is very good, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha said a press conference in Moscow, BelTA has learned.
The press conference was dedicated to the results of the CRRF sudden readiness check on 12-22 May in accordance with the decision of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). The event involved the mobile company of the 103rd guards independent mobile brigade of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus. With the help of Belarusian and Russian aviation the military were deployed in Tajikistan where the active phase of the exercise was conducted.
"The Belarusian contingent worked very well showing good training. The 103rd brigade is like a diamond in the rim of the Armed Forces of Belarus,” Nikolai Bordyuzha said.
The CSTO Secretary General recalled that the sudden check of the combat readiness of the CSTO CRRF was held for the first time. "The exercise went well, without any problems. Both the deployment to Tajikistan, reception and the conduct of the exercise were good. We tested different types of transit, rapid assembly of the contingent and tested their combat readiness,” he said.
