Chinese ambassador thanks Belarus for support in fight against coronavirus

MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) - China is grateful to Belarus for the support and assistance in the fight against the coronavirus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming told journalists after a meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Minsk on 24 March, BelTA has learned.

The head of the diplomatic mission stressed that during this difficult period the Belarusian-Chinese relations have grown stronger. The parties actively cooperate across all matters, including the fight against coronavirus. "A friend in need is a friend indeed," Ambassador Cui Qiming said.

He expressed confidence that both China and Belarus will successfully cope with the problem. China calls on the international community to stand together in the fight against coronavirus.
