Chinese ambassador: Belarus, China will protect their development interests together

MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) – China and Belarus will respond to various risks and challenges together, will protect their sovereignty, security and development interests with confidence, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong who attended Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s meeting with parliamentarians as a guest told BelTA.

The diplomat stressed that at the event the Belarusian head of state paid a lot of attention to the cooperation with China. The ambassador also spoke about the enhancement of Belarus-China cooperation: “The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China led by Xi Jinping, the Chinese government are committed to friendly cooperation with Belarus. Xi Jinping draws a lot of attention to the development of cooperation with Belarus and values personal friendship with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko. In recent years under the strategic guidance and thanks to the joint work of Xi Jinping and Aleksandr Lukashenko the Chinese-Belarusian relations of trustworthy all-round strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation have been increasingly vibrant. Business cooperation in various fields is productive, is an example for cooperation between countries.”

Speaking about the prospects of relations, Xie Xiaoyong said: “China will continue deepening business cooperation with Belarus across the board, will strengthen traditionally friendly relations, will jointly respond to various risks and challenges, will protect the sovereignty, security and development interests together. It is safe to assume that the Chinese-Belarusian relations will open the best development prospects.”
