BEIJING, 23 October (BelTA) – After the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China the People’s Republic of China will continue strengthening cooperation with Belarus, Deputy Director of the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Liu Bin said at the meeting with foreign journalists, BelTA has learned.
The representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the current level of the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation. “I believe we can maintain good momentum in cooperation and expand it. The basis for it is the support of the leaders of the two states that promotes advancement of many bilateral projects,” he said.
Liu Bin stressed that the CIS countries are a cooperation priority for China, including Belarus.
The meeting also touched upon the future of the People’s Republic of China and also the country’s major development vectors.
The 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China is discussing many issues, including international relations. Xi Jinping noted in his speech that lasted for 3.5 hours that China actively develops global partnership, expands areas of common interest with all the states and promotes cooperation with the world’s leading countries, building stable and steadily developing relations with them.
The 19th Congress which is taking place in Beijing, China on 18-24 October is covered by more than 3,000 journalists from 134 countries.
