MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – Friendly relations between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko are an example of iron brotherhood of the two countries, Chen Zhou, Deputy Head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee said as he met with the Belarusian delegation at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research (BISR) on 20 April, BelTA has learned.
According to Chen Zhou, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko paid two visits to China in 2023. Important agreements were reached on the development of bilateral relations during the talks between Aleksandr Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The leaders discussed current projects and outlined future plans.
“This is a rare scene in relations between other countries. This is a prime example of our iron brotherhood,” the representative of the Communist Party of China said.
According to him, Belarus and China have already achieved excellent results within the Belt and Road initiative and now seek to fill their cooperation with new content and respond to global challenges together.
