Call for equal conditions for Belarusian and Russian manufacturers in Union State

Call for equal conditions for Belarusian and Russian manufacturers in Union State

MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) – We need to create equally comfortable conditions for Belarusian and Russian enterprises in the Union State likes the ones enjoyed by citizens, State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Grigory Rapota said at the second CIS international finance and banking forum Minsk Business Meetings on 27 October, BelTA has learned.

“We have created comfortable environment for residents. They do not feel foreigners in the territory of each other’s country. We must now create the same conditions for enterprises,” Grigory Rapota said.

Belarus and Russia have already begun to approximate their industrial policies. According to Grigory Rapota, one of the goals is to create a single completive environment. Most important thing, in his view, is to qualify the product manufactured in the Union State as a single product. “We should develop the inner attitude to the producers of the partner country as to the national manufacturers,” Grigory Rapota noted.

The second CIS international finance and banking forum Minsk Business Meetings is running in Belarus on 26-29 October. It has brought together representatives of government bodies, banking and business bodies of the CIS member states and international development institutions, including from Europe and Asia.

The forum is set to discuss new challenges and opportunities for the CIS banking systems, the development of financial and banking markets of the CIS member states, the measures for overcoming the crisis in the banking sector, development of the common insurance market, and creation of conditions for investment cooperation in the CIS.
