Nikolai Snopkov remarked: “The historical visit of China President Xi Jinping to Belarus in May 2015 defined the decisive role in interregional cooperation. During the visit the two heads of state defined the replenishment of interregional cooperation with concrete content and concrete projects as the main task of interregional cooperation.” In his words, Belarus will do everything to allow Chinese companies to smoothly promote their business interests in the west of the Eurasian continent. “The China-Belarus Industrial Park is one of the components of Belarus’ policy of openness with regard to the promotion of interests of Chinese companies. China President Xi Jinping called the park a pearl of the modern Silk Road,” stressed the Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration.

Investment opportunities in Belarus and the trade and economic potential of Qinghai Province were presented during the Belarusian-Chinese forum on trade and economic cooperation. A business matchmaking session was also held, during which representatives of the Belarusian side and the Chinese one discussed matters of manufacturing cooperation and economic partnership. Apart from that, for the sake of stimulating trade and economic cooperation an exhibition of products made by Qinghai Province companies was arranged in the Beijing Hotel in Minsk. Chinese companies presented an unmanned aerial vehicle, measuring instruments, food, alcohol beverages, Tibet medications, carpet products, textile products and products made of wool, fur, and cashmere wool.
