Busko: Solid economic cooperation of Belarus, Romania will promote political ties

MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – The enhancement of Belarus-Romania economic cooperation will help develop political relations, Chairman of the Permanent Commission for International Affairs at the Belarusian House of Representatives Vitaly Busko said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Belarus Viorel Mosanu on 18 November, BelTA has learned.

The advanced economy promotes the development of politics. And vice versa, the countries with good political relations enhance their economic ties, the MP said.

Speaking about the development of regional trade and economic relations of Belarus and Romania which was mentioned by the Ambassador in the conversation with Belarusian MPs, Vitaly Busko said that this will be the right policy. “When regions advance contacts, the number of bureaucratic chains is reduced. All issues are solved quicker,” the MP explained.

Apart from that, Vitaly Busko praised the fact that Romania now has its representative in the rank of ambassador in Belarus. “Romania is not an alien country for us,” Vitaly Busko added.

The MP reminded that the House of Representatives has recently hosted a meeting with head of the group of friendship of the Romanian parliament with Belarus Miron Ignat. The participants of the meeting discussed interparliamentary and cultural cooperation. “This is an important field which gives the biggest effect at the lowest cost. It happens because our people learn more about each other and maintain good relations,” he stressed.
