MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – China’s Belt and Road initiative will logistically link Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, BelTA learned from Sergei Kizima, Doctor of Political Science, Head of the International Relations Department of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, during the interstate radio linkup, which connected Minsk and Bishkek on 31 August.
In particular, Sergei Kizima said that China’s global initiative Belt and Road will become the most powerful link between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan in the future. The expert believes that if the initiative is implemented, it will be possible to cheaply and promptly move merchandise between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan along the high-tech modern logistic routes, which will be created between Asia and Europe. “We should definitely grab the chance, which will bring us closer later on within the framework of Eurasian integration,” the political analyst is convinced.
Sergei Kizima noted that Belarus and Kyrgyzstan should work harder to increase their trade turnover.
The interstate radio linkup between Minsk and Bishkek was organized by the first national channel of the Belarusian Radio Company and Kyrgyzstan’s public television and radio broadcasting corporation Birinchi Radio.
