ZVYOZDNY GORODOK, 29 February (BelTA) – Belarusian space flight participant Marina Vasilevskaya is undergoing a comprehensive examination training on the Soyuz MS manned spacecraft simulator, BelTA has learned.
“I was preparing for the exam, of course,” Marina Vasilevskaya told the media. “I am a little worried, but I am confident in my crew. We have an experienced commander, and I am confident in our abilities. We will do well.”
According to Marina Vasilevskaya, in the Soyuz manned spacecraft she will assist the commander and perform certain operations. “Today we have the final stage in our semi-annual training, where we are to show our knowledge and skills. I am confident that we will successfully complete our today's exam on the Soyuz spacecraft simulator,” Marina Vasilevskaya added.
The final exam of the main and backup crews of the 21st visiting expedition to the International Space Station is taking place in the Cosmonaut Training Center.
Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, Belarus’ Marina Vasilevskaya and NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson are taking part in the training on the simulator of the Soyuz MS manned spacecraft.
The backup crew consisting of Roscosmos cosmonaut Ivan Vagner, Belarusian space flight participant Anastasia Lenkova and NASA astronaut Donald Pettit are taking part in a training on the simulator of the ISS Russian Segment.
