MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ experience in the sphere of nuclear energy industry is interesting for other countries, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.

An exhibition of the Belarusian nuclear power plant has been organized in Vienna, Austria within the framework of a session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Delegations from more than 12 countries, including China, Iran, Serbia, Argentina, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Azerbaijan visited it. The specialists were interested in progress of the Belarusian nuclear power plant construction project, advantages of third-generation water-moderated nuclear reactors with improved technical and economic parameters, in radiation control matters, and personnel training conditions.

The development of Belarus’ nuclear and radiation safety infrastructure on the basis of IAEA requirements was also in the center of attention. The specialists, who visited the exhibition, mentioned Belarus’ adherence to high standards of safety. They spoke in positive terms about results of interaction with international organizations.

While promoting partnership ties with other countries, Belarus shares the experience of realization of the national nuclear energy program on principles of openness and transparency.
