VIENNA, 24 May (BelTA) – The Vienna Forum: Promoting EU Investments in Belarus is another step towards the implementation of the ‘integration of integrations’ initiative, President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Christoph Leitl told reporters on 24 May, BelTA has learned.
“I discussed the idea of ‘integration of integrations’ and the establishment of a free trade zone with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko. I also discussed this idea with Russia President Vladimir Putin. Today’s forum is actually another step in this direction,” Christoph Leitl noted.
As for the trade and economic relations between Belarus and Austria, he pointed out that the countries conduct joint projects in many fields. However, there is untapped potential. “Today we cooperate in many areas. Still, there are many fields where we can strengthen our ties. These include infrastructure, professional education and transport,” Christoph Leitl said.
