MOSCOW, 2 June (BelTA) – There are plans to use the design of the Belarusian nuclear power plant to build nuclear power plants in Finland, Hungary, and Vietnam, BelTA learned from Valery Limarenko, head of the Russian group of nuclear industry companies NIAEP-ASE-AEP, in Moscow on 2 June.
Valery Limarenko underlined that European experts speak highly of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, which is under construction. He attributed the praise to the fact that the Belarusian nuclear power plant is a three-plus generation facility. “It is a cutting-edge power plant, which is being built strictly on schedule. We are also below the planned budget. We are building the facility in Belarus the way we would for a Russian customer. It signifies that we live in the same Union State,” he said.
Valery Limarenko added: “The customer of the Belarusian nuclear power plant is very rigorous and very closely monitors all the stages and processes. The power plant in Ostrovets is being built with true quality in mind.”
He also remarked that the design of the Belarusian nuclear power plant is off-the-shelf. “I hope that the experience of Belarusian nuclear power plant construction workers will be utilized in other countries, too. I would like it very much,” said the head of the group of companies NIAEP-ASE-AEP.
