Belarus, Venezuela urged to work out industry-specific solutions for cooperation roadmap

Belarus, Venezuela urged to work out industry-specific solutions for cooperation roadmap

MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Venezuela need to work out industry-specific solutions for the implementation of the roadmap for cooperation, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said at the 7

“The key to the successful implementation of the roadmap will be the development of joint events in sector-specific areas of cooperation. The history of our relations shows that we are capable of addressing the big tasks we have outlined in the draft roadmap,” noted Vladimir Semashko.

In his words, the arrival of the Venezuelan delegation to Belarus testifies to the willingness to strengthen strategic and partnership relations, seek effective solutions aimed at deepening trade and economic cooperation, and fill the relationship with content. “It was for this purpose that the task was set to develop a joint roadmap which is harmoniously in sync with the main foreign economic priorities of the two countries. Implementation of the roadmap can contribute to the expansion of bilateral cooperation, the development of the industrial sector of Venezuela, building up export capacity, improvement of the financial system, food security, development of agriculture, construction and other sectors of the country,” the vice premier noted.

According to him, in a relatively short period of time manufacturers have established strong long-term trade and economic and cooperation ties. We have created several joint ventures to produce cars, tractors, oil, gas. The Belarusian technologies are used by the manufacturers of road-building machinery. Latin America's largest brick plant has been built with the participation of Belarusian specialists. Belarusian builders are involved in the Venezuelan state program “Great mission of housing” and are building housing for low-income people.

Joint projects need support of both Belarus and Venezuela. They should be provided with orders. In accordance with the program of work of the commission I suggest we devote today and half of tomorrow to the development of specific solutions by industry-wise areas of our cooperation. Plans must be realistic and aimed at the implementation of the roadmap,” Vladimir Semashko said.
