MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) - Belarus and Venezuela plan to restart bilateral projects in construction and industry, Venezuela president’s special envoy Adan Chavez Frias told the media in Minsk on 7 October, BelTA has learned.
"We held a very important meeting with President Lukashenko, discussed a number of issues regarding our joint activities. We reaffirmed our commitment to supporting each other. We agreed to restart those projects that we implemented earlier, and outlined new areas of cooperation: in energy, mining, technology, and agriculture," Adan Chavez Frias said.
According to him, a Belarusian delegation is expected to travel to Venezuela by the end of the year. The main focus will be on trade and economic cooperation. We will take stock of the existing projects and map out new ones. "This will give an additional impetus to those projects that we implemented before and to outline new areas of bilateral cooperation,” Adan Chavez Frias said.
