MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky made a few comments about Belarus’ accession to the World Trade Organization during the joint session of both chambers of the Belarusian parliament on 30 May, BelTA has learned.
The official said: “It is unlikely we will join the WTO by autumn even from the point of view of the required procedures. Due to the workflow we hope to sign bilateral agreements with the main WTO members by autumn. At the same time we are on a separate track with the USA.”
Vasily Matyushevsky stressed that the government will do their utmost in order to complete the work on entering the World Trade Organization soon.
BelTA earlier quoted First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky as saying that the country is satisfied with progress in the negotiations.
