Belarus stands ready to promote rapprochement between EEU and EU

MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Belarus to ready to do its best to promote the rapprochement between the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Alexander Mikhnevich said at the Minsk Dialogue 2015 conference on 27 March, BelTA has learned.

“We are mulling over the prospects of rapprochement between the recently established EEU and the EU. We are ready to do our best to promote this process,” Alexander Mikhnevich said.

He also believes that it is essential to avoid the collision of interests of these integration associations and to prevent the emergence of new dividing lines. Therefore, it is needed to focus on constructive cooperation.
