MOSCOW, 26 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia should strengthen cooperation in all sectors, Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus’ National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko said when speaking at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Moscow on 26 December, BelTA reports.
“Belarus and Russia should step up strategic cooperation in all areas both within the Union State and in the context of the Eurasian integration process,” Vladimir Andreichenko said. “The importance of the Union State PA will increase consequently. We should boost the influence of the Union State parliamentarism on the Belarus-Russia rapprochement. I would like to point out that it were the initiatives and actions of the Parliamentary Assembly that laid serious groundwork for the Union State development in law, economy, social sphere, law enforcement, humanitarian and other areas.”
Vladimir Andreichenko believes that the mechanisms of the Belarus-Russia cooperation should work effectively despite all the crisis situations, even if the tasks seem to be complicated.
