MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Russia and Belarus are on the same page regarding the issue of crossing the Belarus-Russia border by citizens of third states, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at a session to discuss the outcomes of the highest-level talks in Sochi, BelTA has learned.
“We discussed ways to resolve the issue of crossing the Belarus-Russia border by nationals or third countries,” the Belarusian leader said.
He noted that the two countries have virtually no border; however, additional difficulties arise for citizens of third countries.
“We need to come to grips with this matter and there is understanding of that. It is in the interests of Russia and Belarus,” the head of state underlined.
