MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) - The second Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions will discuss urgent issues of industrial cooperation, Chairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich said during the final meeting of the ninth session of the fifth-convocation Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
Mikhail Myasnikovich noted that strengthening the strategic partnership with the Russian Federation is Belarus’ foreign policy priority. The Council of the Republic is preparing for the second Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions to be held in Veliky Novgorod on 17-18 September. “The main theme of the forum will be industrial policy of the Belarus-Russia Union State, common approaches and regional aspects. The platform of the forum will be used to solve some concrete issues and urgent problems of developing industrial cooperation and joining our industrial, financial, and marketing potential with Russian partners, so the organizing committee of the forum is actively working to prepare regional agreements and commercial contracts taking into account the capabilities of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Mikhail Myasnikovich noted.
On behalf of Belarus, the organizing committee of the forum is chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic Anatoly Rusetsky.
