MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) - Belarus is ready to offer favorable conditions to Turkish companies good sites in the free economic zones and the industrial park Great Stone, Belarus Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Savinykh said in an interview with BelTA.
“Of great importance is mutual economic penetration. We are ready to discuss allocating good sites in the free economic zones and the industrial park Great Stone to Turkish producers of auto parts. We are in negotiations on setting up plants to assemble Belarusian machinery in Turkey. We would like the producers themselves to be more active on this front,” the diplomat said.
According to him, the mutual trade also depends on how effectively we will be working to remove the barriers that still exist between the two countries.
Work is underway to link Belarus and Turkey by convenient transport routes. “Serious consideration is given to the use of the waterway through the Dnieper River. If we make progress, then the river-sea type vessels can reach Turkish ports in less than a week. This wil make Belarus “a sea country” to some extent as it will directly connect our country with the ports of not only Turkey but also other countries in the Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea regions,” Andrei Savinykh said.
In addition, Belarus and Turkey are working on an agreement to develop the green corridor, which suggests creating favorable conditions for the registration of cargoes delivered by road.
