MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to partake in searching for ways to settle the situation in Ukraine via any necessary formats, BelTA learned from Dmitry Mironchik, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 25 June.
“We are ready to organize meetings and take part in searching for ways to settle the situation in Ukraine as soon as possible via any necessary formats,” said the Press Secretary.
Dmitry Mironchik went on saying: “The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs positively evaluates the fact that negotiations continue in the format of the trilateral contact group and the special-purpose subgroups on Ukraine. We hope that these negotiations will contribute to the comprehensive implementation of the Minsk accords.”
Apart from that, he reminded that the Belarusian side closely cooperates with special representatives in the trilateral group. An intensive dialogue at the level of ministries of foreign affairs is also maintained.
When asked a question relating to the subgroup on political affairs’ agreement to meet every week, the representative of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs could not specify the date of the next session. However, the official assured that the Belarusian side is ready to arrange meetings with any necessary pace.
